PREFERRED LOCATION: Indianapolis, IN, or Atlanta, GA. Will consider one of Anthem’s other major pulse points for the most qualified candidate. Anthem supports a hybrid workplace model with pulse point sites used for collaboration, community, and connection.

The Initiative Project Leader is responsible for consulting and partnering with Anthem Enterprise and Leadership Development Directors, Human Resources, GTO teammates, business partners, and relevant project/change managers to:

  • Identify the integration points across the Enterprise Learning & Leadership Development’s portfolio of offerings; Ensure appropriate cross-functional commitment, stakeholder engagement, and timely completion of incremental deliverables leading to initiative success

  • Maintain a detailed roadmap and/or project plan of EL&LD initiatives and milestones required to achieve both our short and long-term priorities; Follow-up to ensure all stakeholders/contributors meet their commitments.

  • Evaluate project status/ repositories; Work to create a solution and provide end-to-end visibility and ensure successful execution; Raise issues as needed to appropriately staff and fund key initiatives/ reprioritize key initiatives

  • Assess stakeholder impacts and build targeted change and communications plans/ actions to minimize challenges/ resistance and ensure successful execution

  • Maintain relevant budget/ financial forecasting and planning

  • Create an end-to-end calendar/ cadence to communicate upcoming processes/ milestones to key stakeholders

  • Be single point of accountability for project/initiative connectivity, transparency, and reporting, leading to successful outcomes

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in an operations environment including 7 years of leading and directing large enterprise-wide projects; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • 3-5 years project management experience- integrating enterprise or multi-business initiatives in a large, growing, and complex business

  • 3-5 years of experience successfully partnering/ consulting with senior HR and business leaders

  • Expertise on the end to end project/initiative leaders

  • Experience creating and adapting change and communications plans to successfully implement HR, learning, or leader development solutions

  • Demonstrated success at leveraging contemporary technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of project/initiative leadership, preferably with the HR, talent management, learning, or leadership development domain

  • Broad understanding of project/initiative leadership, HR, Learning, and/or Leadership Development

  • Innate ability to prioritize and drive for business impact

  • Demonstrated thought leadership in change management, project management, and stakeholder management as it relates to implementation within a large organization

  • Ability to establish credibility and relationships at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to adapt communication styles across multiple stakeholder groups

  • Excellent client consulting and partnership skills

  • Agile process and pragmatic thinking

  • M&A experience

  • MBA and/or Six Sigma Black Belt certification
