Preferred location: New York, NY. Will consider one of Anthem’s other major pulse points in the Eastern time zone for the most qualified candidate. Anthem supports a hybrid workplace model with pulse point sites used for collaboration, community, and connection.
The Financial Consultant Sr. is responsible for providing financial analysis and preparing analysis of results for lines of business. Financial oversite for the City of New York Group Retiree Solutions (GRS) including membership mix, rate adjustments, month-end analytics, and cost of care.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Works with management to provide decision support analysis.
Conducts and documents complex financial and business-related analyses and research fields including financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investment.
Focuses on business improvement initiatives and leads and directs projects.
Provides guidance to less experienced financial consultants.
- Requires a BA/BS in accounting or finance and a minimum of 5 years budgeting, forecasting, and accounting financial reporting experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
MBA, CPA, CMA, FSA, and/or CFA preferred.
Healthcare experience a plus
