Director, Marketing – Sales & Distribution
Location: The selected candidate should be able to work Eastern or Central time-zone hours.
We are seeking a dynamic Director, Marketing to lead sales & distribution marketing for one or more divisions of the Diversified Business Group (DBG) marketing team. He/she will be responsible for working within a matrixed organization to build and execute account-based marketing plans that drive growth, facilitate client engagement, and serve the current and future needs of health plans, employers, providers, and members.
The successful candidate is a collaborative, resourceful leader who brings energy and insight to deliver marketing initiatives that accelerate the sales process and expand client and customer value to the business. He/she will lead a small team of growth marketers who align with sales and distribution teams to meet the unique needs of our growing client base. Top candidates bring strength in marketing growth strategies, planning, prioritizing, and orchestrating high-impact delivery of marketing campaigns at the local market and enterprise levels.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Partnering with business leaders to prioritize growth initiatives and translate these into market-facing opportunities.
Building expertise in sales processes, strategies, and client/member needs. Serve as a primary marketing conduit to distribution teams.
Designing and implementing B2B marketing growth strategies and integrated campaigns across all channels to drive acquisition, upsell, and retention in all markets.
Using customer data and market information to proactively identify and assess new business opportunities to create customer value and profitably grow the business.
Leading a team in the identification and deployment of innovative, forward-thinking campaigns that drive measurable value.
Writing and editing content for a variety of mediums and ensures that all communications are high quality and adhere to brand standards and style.
Developing and implementing metrics to report and monitor progress against goals.
Partnering closely with product marketing, brand marketing, and enterprise resources to deliver a seamless experience for our clients and members.
Working with creative partners to develop messaging that is compelling and on-brand.
Recommending changes and adjustments to marketing strategies to increase program effectiveness. Acts as a champion of change.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates the performance of direct reports. Must be a hands-on leader who will roll up your sleeves and work with the team.
Provides input to leadership for any executive presentations.
BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, or related field and 8 years of marketing & communications experience with demonstrated results; or any combination of education and experience, which would be a n equivalent background.
Experience must be in healthcare or other highly regulated industries such as financial services or insurance.
Must have proven B2B experience partnering with sales and distribution teams to drive account-based growth and retention.
Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment and understand customer needs at both the local and national levels.
Proven track record of designing, developing, and managing integrated marketing campaigns.
Requires experience as an SME, team lead, interim mgr, matrixed manager with indirect reports or other leadership exp.
Omni-channel and/or digital campaign experience is preferred.

Annual Salary Range*: $114,240 - 142,800
Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
