Corporate Communications Specialist Senior

The Corporate Communications Specialist Sr is responsible for providing external communications support by anticipating, preparing for, and managing complex corporate communications projects to enhance Anthem’s reputation among key stakeholders.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: - Supporting the development and deployment of integrated communications campaigns aligned with Anthem’s key reputation initiatives. - Monitoring trends and conversations for communications opportunities. - Working with internal teams to create differentiated points of view for Anthem’s programs and initiatves research, writing/content development, and promotion; other special projects to accelerate the communications team’s impact.

Work location: Any Anthem office in one of the following states: Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Virginia. May consider other Anthem, Inc. offices for most qualified candidate.


Minimum qualifications: Requires a BA/BS in Communications, Journalism, or a related field; 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred qualifications: - Experience working in the managed care / healthcare insurance industry a plus. - This person should be a highly skilled writer and communicator and very detail oriented, with a clear ability to connect strategy back to the work. - Selected candidate should be agile, engaged, and curious.
