Business Strategy Plan Director – DBG External Growth
Location: The ideal candidate would be located in either the Central or East time zones, yet this position will consider other Anthem locations.
Anthem’s Diversified Business Group’s External Growth team is looking for a Business Strategy Plan Director to join its team. This high-performing individual contributor will be responsible for business unit strategic planning and customer insight work . The ideal candidate possess experience in financial planning and analysis in the health care space, building and managing budgets and forecasts, as well as building out/managing market intelligence/competitive intel functions. In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience with due diligence & M&A/Corporate development and market strategy experience in healthcare.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Understands all aspects of the business and partners with executive leadership to define strategy and successful criteria for the future.
Translates strategy into defined tactics, programs/projects priorities, and timelines and ensures alignment and attainment of enterprises strategic plans to turn strategy into reality.
Documents strategic priorities such as external environment and reports on customer insight research initiatives.
Builds and leverages relationships to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems.
Proposes opportunities to improve results based on continuous needs assessment.
Responsible for the development implementation and monitoring of line of business planning and project activities.
Collaborate with Business unit CFO’s and DBG leadership to build insights into the business.

Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience including prior leadership experience and 3 to 5 year strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Finance background most notably with financial modeling.
Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties.
Leadership skills to identify opportunities, bring teams together, and help implement solutions.
