Given Anthem’s scale, balance sheet, broad national reach and depth at the local market level, Anthem has established a new business unit called the Diversified Business Group. The Diversified Business Group is a solutions-oriented business unit within the Company that will support Anthem and other external clients in the pursuit of transforming healthcare.

This position is responsible for translating basic business needs into application software requirements.

Responsibilities & Areas of Need

  • Analyzes business needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.

  • Determines specific business application software requirements to address specific business needs.

  • Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.

  • Acts as liaison with users of the software to address questions/issues.

  • Pull and QA reports on a month/quarterly/annual basis, and/or for a CMS audit

  • Review reporting using the QA checklist -Run timeliness tests on the report -Make a list of issues identified and submit tickets/provide coaching

  • Provide the final reports to compliance and/or our clients

  • Review CMS protocols to make changes to, or create the mapping document for reporting

  • Maintain and update the QA checklist

  • Create case packets for any audits where a case packet is requested

  • For a program audit, facilitate the ODAG portion on behalf of PA

  • Support other audit requests received as needed

  • Act as a part B SME for the team


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field required from a four year accredited college (Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, etc.).

  • Master’s degree a plus 3 years related business analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background

  • Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations is strongly preferred.

  • Healthcare experience, 3 years
