Description:
Responsible for identifying complex business needs and translates the needs and translates the needs to application software requirements in support of operations, production and projects.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Designs and builds benefit standard and non-standard benefit plans, analyzes business rules to identify best approach to code/develop benefits in the benefit configuration database to achieve optimum claims adjudication levels
Performs testing and quality assurance of new product developed to avoid negative financial, regulatory, and operational impact
Resolve system configuration defects based on knowledge and analysis of system functionality in conjunction to the benefit plans
Researches and responds to complex inquiries from various departments
May consult, mentor peers to attain department goals
Must be able to perform all duties as directed by management

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Requires a High School diploma or GED; BA/BS degree preferred
3-5 years’ experience in the following is preferred: Facets application, Access Database, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
3-5 years benefit coding experience preferred; or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background
3 years’ experience in claims processing, previous medical health care or analytical experience
Experience with Medicare/Medicaid is a plus
Knowledge in the following is a plus: Claims Processing, Product & Benefits Setup
Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to be a problem solver
Good communication skills both written and verbal
