Behavioral Health/EAP Consultant II
Work schedule: Normal business hours M-F 9:00am to 5:00pm EST, with flexibility to work some after hours as needed
Location: On-site with a national employer based in downtown Indianapolis
Responsible for onsite mental health support for employees and management at a national company headquartered in downtown Indianapolis.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Triaging initial employee requests for EAP services; receiving employee requests, assessing situation, determining appropriate course of action.
Provides telephone and/or on-site support for crisis intervention, assessment, short-term problem resolution and referral to appropriate provider(s).
Manages Critical Incident Stress Debriefing requests and delivers onsite support as appropriate.
Assesses members and assists them in accessing behavioral healthcare benefits available under their health plan.
Applies specialized knowledge in substance abuse, domestic abuse, grief counseling, workplace problems, and management consultation.
Provides employer consultation to supervisors, managers, and Human Resources of the EAP contracted organization.
Works closely with colleagues at onsite wellness center to manage mental health needs of patients.
Provides advanced consultation to designated client representatives. Integrates employees with appropriate EAP services and referrals for the most complex cases.
Requires 7 plus years of direct psychiatric and/or substance abuse experience and managed care experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Account Management experience preferred.
Current unrestricted license such as (but not limited to) LPC (as allowed by State of Indiana), LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Licensed Professional Counselor, in the State of Indiana state required.
Master’s degree preferred.
10-20% traveled possible.
