Your Role as an Actuarial Analyst will be instrumental in establishing payment models to support the Beacon Payment Innovation team with Behavioral Health Value Based Payment arrangements in the Pennsylvania market.
The position is responsible for analyzing, developing and validating statistical data in support of rate determination for various value based payment models.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Under limited supervision, applies the appropriate actuarial analytical tools to the data and performs preliminary actuarial and statistical analysis.
Updates actuarial pricing, valuation and forecasting models as directed.
Refines and collects appropriate data for actuarial analysis and ensures its reasonableness and accuracy by coordination within the division.
Requires a BS/BA degree; required to have passed at least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exam; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Experience with data querying language (e.g. SQL, Oracle) preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
