The Actuarial Analyst III completes very diverse and complicated projects and performs very complex actuarial studies. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain complex SQL based models used for forecasting Medicaid membership, premium, and medical to include related tools and reporting

  • Provides support to Medicaid Finance, actuarial and enterprise by serving as an expert in data analysis, forecasting, and reporting recommendations in order to inform business partners and management decisions

  • Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists.

  • Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Requires a BA/BS and to have passed a minimum of four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams and a minimum of 3 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Progressive data analysis and reporting experience

  • Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools is required.

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server required

  • Experience in managed healthcare analytics

  • Knowledge of Hyperion/SmartView preferred

  • Strong analytical, organizational, presentation and problem-solving skills

Annual Salary Range*: $ 82,740 - $ 103,425

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
